What if writing were less like building a perfect structure—and more like running an experiment?

Scientists know that failure isn’t a setback—it’s the process. Observe. Hypothesize. Test. Revise. Again. And again. Writers can learn a lot from that rhythm. Iteration isn’t the enemy of inspiration—it’s how you get there.

Whether you’re an established writer stuck in perfectionism or a newer writer daunted by the blank page, this course invites writers to approach our creative work like scientists in a lab: curious, open, and unafraid to get messy. Together, we’ll study how published authors and other artists (some unexpected!) have leaned into failure as part of their process—not in spite of it. You’ll leave with tools, exercises, and a reframed relationship with the unpredictable journey of creative growth.
